Setting sail
When I retired eleven months ago, I assured my co-workers that I would start up a blog to post the rants they were used to hearing from me, about cell-phone telemarketers, politics, scammers and spammers, and the idiots driving mindlessly on the streets of San Francisco. Well, I didn't do it. I started reading the comments to news articles and columns on sfgate.com and posted my comments there.
I have an additional subject for rants now, the idiots and trolls commenting on subjects they knew nothing about, or knew enough about to be bigoted.
It's now Monday morning, one day before the most interactive election of my life, and I haven't blogged about any of it, fertile ground that it was. So I have today and tomorrow, until the results are in, to post some thoughts about the history being made.
Once I've broken the ice by doing that, I figure I'll be able to continue writing.
Thus, I'm setting sail.
